The progress of a country is directly proportional to the all round development of women. Keeping this in mind, Late Shri Gopal Chandra Ji founded Dau Dayal Bal Mandir in 1965 in the memory of his father, Late Shri Dau Dayal Ji, a leading industrialist, a visionary and philanthropist from Northern India.In 1971, Dau Dayal Mahila Mahavidyalaya affiliated to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra was established at Firozabad with philanthropic and charitable motives. The college is a leading women's college and is providing quality education to the students belonging to not only Firozabad district but also of neighboring areas. More than 4000 women students study in the college spread across the three campuses. The college believes in holistic education that goes beyond achieving academic excellence and vocational training. The philosophy of the college is to realize the overall intellectual, creative, cultural and socio-political growth and development of both the students and the college community in its entirety. The college has attained the status of "College with Potential for Excellence" and has also been assessed & accredited by NAAC and awarded score of 2.81 equivalent to B++ grade. DDMM has been actively involved with social causes since its very inception and has drawn appreciation from one and all for its works in various facets of societal paradigms.The college is recognized by U.G.C. under 2f & 12b. The motto of the institution is ‘Sewa Parmo Dharmah’. To fulfill this mission, the college offers a wide range of courses in Arts, Commerce and Education at under graduate and post graduate level.
